To Open The Set Handles & Hinges Window:
1. Click on Doors on the main menu bar.
2. Click on Set Handles + Hinges.
To Set Top Door Handle Types & Location:
At the top of the handles & hinges window select by clicking on the circle where the handle should be placed and the type of handle that should be placed if any for all top cabinet.
Placement of Handles
Select one of 3 below or click don't change handle position
Top - The handle will be placed in the top section of the cabinet.
Middle - The handle will be placed in the middle section of the cabinet.
Bottom - The handle will be placed in the bottom section of the cabinet
Select one of 2 below or click don't change handle position
Left or Right - The handle will be placed in the right section of the cabinet.
Center - The handle will be placed in the center section of the cabinet.
Select one below if you don't want to change handle position
Don't Change Handle Position - The handle will not be moved at all for this type of cabinet but it will change the type of handle you chose if any
Type of handle
Select one of 5 below
Knob - Place a knob in the appropriate area you chose for the cabinet.
Vertical Handle - Place a vertical handle in the appropriate area you chose for the cabinet.
Horizontal Handle - Place a horizontal handle in the appropriate area you chose for the cabinet.
None - Do not place any type of handle on this type of cabinet.
No Change - Do not make any change to the type of handle chosen but place it in the area you chose for the cabinet if any.
To Set Base Door Handle Types & Location:
In the middle of the handles & hinges window select by clicking on the circle where the handle should be placed and the type of handle that should be placed if any for all base cabinets.
Placement of Handles
Select one of 3 below or click don't change handle position
Top - The handle will be placed in the top section of the cabinet.
Middle - The handle will be placed in the middle section of the cabinet.
Bottom - The handle will be placed in the bottom section of the cabinet
Select one of 2 below or click don't change handle position
Left or Right - The handle will be placed in the right section of the cabinet.
Center - The handle will be placed in the center section of the cabinet.
Select one below if you don't want to change handle position
Don't Change Handle Position - The handle will not be moved at all for this type of cabinet but it will change the type of handle you chose if any
Type of handle
Select one of 5 below
Knob - Place a knob in the appropriate area you chose for the cabinet.
Vertical Handle - Place a vertical handle in the appropriate area you chose for the cabinet.
Horizontal Handle - Place a horizontal handle in the appropriate area you chose for the cabinet.
None - Do not place any type of handle on this type of cabinet.
No Change - Do not make any change to the type of handle chosen but place it in the area you chose for the cabinet if any.
To Set Drawer Front Handle Types & Location:
At the bottom of the handles & hinges window select by clicking on the circle where the handle should be placed and the type of handle that should be placed if any for all drawer fronts.
Placement of Handles
Select one of 3 below or click don't change handle position
Top - The handle will be placed in the top section of the cabinet.
Middle - The handle will be placed in the middle section of the cabinet.
Bottom - The handle will be placed in the bottom section of the cabinet
Select one of 2 below or click don't change handle position
Left or Right - The handle will be placed in the right section of the cabinet.
Center - The handle will be placed in the center section of the cabinet.
Select one below if you don't want to change handle position
Don't Change Handle Position - The handle will not be moved at all for this type of cabinet but it will change the type of handle you chose if any
Type of handle
Select one of 5 below
Knob - Place a knob in the appropriate area you chose for the cabinet.
Vertical Handle - Place a vertical handle in the appropriate area you chose for the cabinet.
Horizontal Handle - Place a horizontal handle in the appropriate area you chose for the cabinet.
None - Do not place any type of handle on this type of cabinet.
No Change - Do not make any change to the type of handle chosen but place it in the area you chose for the cabinet if any.
After Selecting Handle Type & Placement:
| 1. | Decide whether hinging should change, if not click the box at the bottom of the window don't change hinging |
| 2. | Click the OK button, handles and hinging will now show on your screen. |
Handles and hinging will only show on your screen after you have gone through the Set Handles + Hinges Window. This window tells your job where and what type of handles should be placed on cabinets. Furthermore, it also decides where hinging should take place. This window will change all top and base cabinets along with drawer fronts.
It is also possible to make changes in this window that will only affect the type of handles on the cabinets and not affect where they are placed if you've already set this information. Be sure to click don't change handle position on each type of cabinet if this is the case. You are also able to change the placement of handles without changes the type of handle. Be sure to click the circle next to no change for handle type on each type of cabinet if this is the case. In other words, you can access this screen to make changes to the entire job but only change the type of handle or the handle placement without changing both at the same time.
