Fast Fill allows you fill up a room full of cabinets very quickly.  However Fast Fill has its limitations.  Fast Fill will only put in basic cabinet types, if you have a complex design in mind, you should draw it up yourself.  If you keep this in mind, Fast Fill can save you some time with more simple designs and give you a base to create more complex designs.

Before you start with Fast Fill you should setup a few things.

1. Click on the Library Menu Item and click on Fast Fill.

2. Click on the settings tab.

3. Choose which type of corner cabinet you want for top and base cabinets

4. Choose whether you want the fast fill to fill to end of wall.If checked, Fast Fill will fill the wall with cabinets, if unchecked, Fast Fill will only place cabinets in between other cabinets.

5. Click on the sizes tab.  Here you will set the sizes for base and top cabinets that fast fill will use generate your cabinets.

Max Cabinet Size:        The maximum size of a standard cabinet

Min Cabinet Size:         The minimum size of a standard cabinet

Max Corner Size:        The maximum size of a corner cabinet

Min Corner Size:        The minimum size of a corner cabinet

Increment Size:        The increment size for stock sizes

Hold From Wall End:        The amount of space between the end of the wall and the start of the cabinet run

6.  Choose whether you want Fast Fill to use Stock Sizes  Using stock sizes will create cabinets whose widths will be in increments based on what you set for the increment size.  If you don't select stock sizes, the cabinet widths will be sized to fit the space

7. After you have filled out the forms, you might want to click the Save as Default button.  This will save the figures you have typed in for future reference.

8.  Click OK, Fast Fill will generate the cabinets.  If they are not the way you want them to be.  Click on Fast Fill and then click on the Undo button and they will be erased.

HINTS:

If you have a specific idea on where you want your cabinets to be, you should put them up manually, it is much easier and quicker to place cabinets where you want them, then to try and get fast fill to read your mind.  You can use fast fill to fill in between cabinets.  For example, if you know where the sink will be and where the refrigerator will be, put them up and fast fill will fill in-between them.  If you want a drawer base somewhere in-between those two, you will have to put it up manually, fast fill only does standard base cabinets, but you can always fill around the drawer base using fast fill.
