Library controls which library you will be designing in. A library is a type of cabinet construction line frame, frameless or full overlay frame. To design a frameless job it will be necessary for you to click on library and then frameless. The cabinet or unit construction method that has a check mark next to it is the type that will be designed in. Furthermore a library selection will allow you to place accessories such as tables and chairs. Each library can be placed on one job but it will be necessary for you to manually switch from one library to another.
To Switch From Faceframe To Frameless For One Job Only: 1. Click on library on the main menu bar. 2. Click on frameless so the check mark appears next to it.
To Switch From Frameless to Faceframe For One Job Only: 1. Click on library on the main menu bar. 2. Click on faceframe so the check mark appears next to it.
To Make Frameless Your Permanent Startup Library: 1. Click on change on the main menu bar. 2. Click on edit system and then edit start up. 3. Click on the Library tab. 4. Double click on the number to the left of Frameless. This will put the Frameless library in the first position and make it the default.
To Make Frame Your Permanent Startup Library: 1. Click on change on the main menu bar. 2. Click on edit system and then Edit Start Up. 3. Click on the Library tab. 4. Double click on the number to the left of Frameless. This will put the Frameless library in the first position and make it the default.
Additionally, the Library Menu contains the Edit Unit Menu item. The Edit Unit Menu is where you can change the Unit Menu as well as change defaults for you cabinets. Normally, this would not be active when you start KCDw, unless you click on the Advanced tab in the Edit Startup and make sure the Show Unit Menu is checked.
