Overview of Molding

Use the molding feature to change the style of molding displayed on the top of upper units and tall units. Furthermore, you can have each unit in any project use a different molding style, the entire job doesn't have to use the same molding. To make any changes to the molding for the current job click on molding on the main menu bar.

Items on the Molding Screen

Style of Molding        - This box lists the different styles of molding available. It is displayed at the top of the molding screen. Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the list of possible molding. Click on a molding style to select a type of molding and view a picture with dimensions.
Picture of Molding - This box shows a picture of the selected molding.
Overlap by - This box will usually show "No Change". This is taken from your shop standards(#55 is Frame, #64 in Frameless). This is the amount the molding will overlap the cabinet. For example, if the top rail of the cabinet was 4" high but only 3 3/4" was visible, the overlap amount would be 1/4". If this amount remains the same for the current job on all cabinets leave the box displaying no change
T & B - These buttons will allow you to change the overlap amount to two common settings. T = the top of the molding lines up with the top of the cabinet. B =  the bottom of the molding lines up with the top of the cabinet. There is a blue arrow on the molding picture to denote where the top of the cabinet will be on the molding.
Change on Entire Job Button - This button will place the selected molding style on the entire job. It would be placed on all existing units already designed and will be placed on any units you add to the current job.
Change on 1 Unit Button - This button will place the selected molding style on 1 or more units. Type in the unit number in the box that appears after clicking the change on 1 unit button. Moreover, you can place the selected molding style on 1 or more units by entering the unit numbers separated by spaces. For example, if you wanted Ogee molding on unit 1, 3, and 7 you would select Ogee and then click change on one unit. When the box appears you would type 1 and hit the space bar, type 3 and hit the space bar, type 7 and hit the space bar.
