Move Job to Disk

Main Help  Table of Contents  Previous  Next

KCDw® saves jobs to your hard drive by default. Whenever you save a job, if you use the standard settings you are saving all of your jobs to the KCDw® folder.

Under the file menu you can quickly and easily move jobs from the hard drive to your floppy disk drive (or any other location you choose) by selecting the Move Jobs To Disk Feature.

There are 2 main sections to the Move Jobs to Disk Window, Move Jobs From and Move Jobs To. In most instances the "Move From" location is where your jobs are on the C: drive and the "Move To" location is your floppy A: drive.

To Move Jobs To Disk:

1. Insert a blank and formatted diskette into your disk drive.

2. Click on File and then Move Jobs to Disk.

3. Click on the job(s) you want to move to disk making sure each selected job is highlighted.

4. Check to "Move to Location" and change it if necessary.

5. Click the OK button to move the jobs.

Changing The "Move Jobs To" Location:

1. Below the Move Jobs To heading you can change the drive where the jobs will be moved by clicking the down arrow, now select the new disk drive.

2. Once the Drive has been changed, double click on the folder where the jobs should be moved.

NOTE: Be sure you have a disk in the floppy drive before clicking on File and then Move Jobs To Disk, otherwise KCDw® will assume you wish to move the jobs to a different folder.
