A-Setup.prtThis is the main file of the part list method, if you decide to create your own parts list, you will make most of your changes in this file.

A-Square.prtThis is where your square foot report gets set up.  The various material types and their prices are setup here

B-Lineal.prtThis is where the Lineal Foot Report is setup.  The various materials and part widths are input here.

To Set Up Your Parts

Now that you know which file you want to load you will want to make changes to a cutlist method to setup your parts for faceframe cabinets or european cabinets.

Order Of Files

When you run the cutlist, KCDw loads the a-setup file and completes all of the Set lines. Then the a-square file is run.  Both the a-setup and a-square are run only once during the computation of parts.  At that point, a Z-file is loaded for each unit in the drawing.. A Z-file tells KCDw which files to load for that type of cabinet. Using the table above, a file will be loaded depending on the type of cabinet that it is. It is the files listed above that actually "build" the parts in KCDw, remember the a-setup file just SETs formulas, values, and number to quickly and easily change parts. Modifying the a-setup file is the easy way to adjust part sizes. If a part needs to be added or a quantity of an existing part needs to be changed then you must go to the appropriate file to add the part or change the quantity.
