How do I Printout a Pricelist?

1.  Click on Price on the main menu bar

2.  Click on a cabinet pricing method

3.  Click on a counter top (ctop) pricing method (only if you want the counter top price included)

4.  Click on a report

5.  Click the OK button

On the left hand side of this window you will see the Cabinet pricing methods. In the middle of the window you will see the counter top pricing methods, and on the right will be the reports. You can think of each cabinet list as a different way of pricing the cabinets like oak or cherry. Each counter top list is a different way of pricing counter tops like corian® or formica®. Each report is a different way of printing out the prices like in a contract or proposal form. You can have as many different cabinet pricing methods, counter top pricing methods, and reports as you want, but it is a good idea to start modifying only one at a time.

You can selectively choose which units you want to run pricing reports on.  Look at the Units to Include topic for more information.

You may notice a few other buttons at the bottom of the window. The Calculate button will create the price list. The Close button will take you back to the design section. The Edit button will allow you to edit a highlighted cabinet pricing method, counter top pricing method, or report. The Show Detective button is a tool that helps you setup the price and will show you any errors in the price list.

To view a pricelist on screen, select one cabinet pricing method, one counter top (ctop) pricing method, and one report. (It is not necessary to choose a counter top pricing method if there are no counter tops) Then click Calculate
A window will come up that has the price list exactly how it will print on paper.
After checking over the price, click on print and your pricelist will printout and be ready for your client.

You are now able to save the price sheet as it appears on the screen and then you are able to printout the price sheet. Later you can open the price sheet for reference once you have saved it.

How do I Edit a Pricelist When I am Looking at it on the Screen?

1.  View the pricelist on screen.

2.  Change any cabinet price to what you want by clicking to the right of the number you wish to erase and hitting the backspace key. Now type in the new number. Repeat on other lines as needed.

3.  Change any percentage you want such as tax or discount by typing +5% or whatever percentage you wish anywhere on the line, + before the number will be a percentage of the total that will raise the total cost and - will be a percentage of the cost that will decrease the total cost.

4.  Click ReCalculate and watch the total cost change.

5.  Click print on the menu bar to print the price sheet.

You can make any changes to a price sheet on the screen. Each price for each cabinet can be changed on certain reports and others only the total can be changed. To change a cabinets price on screen you will want to simply erase it and type a new price just as in a word processor. Repeat this on other cabinet price lines to change more prices.

If you want to enter a percentage instead of a fixed price you can do that too. For example if your tax percentage for the report is 5%, rather than typing in a new tax dollar amount simply type +6% or any percentage you wish anywhere on the tax line. You must have either a plus(+) sign or a minus(-) sign to tell KCDw whether this should be an added cost like a tax or a subtracted cost like a discount. You must have the percent (%) sign after the percent number. When you are done simply click ReCalculate and the price sheet will change. When you have gotten the price you want, click on print, and your price list will printout with your new prices on it.

If you want to add text to the price sheet simply add or delete text as you would with any word processor, just type in what you want it to say and click print on the main menu bar to print the price sheet. To erase text click to the right of it and hit your backspace key to erase it, now type in something to replace it if you wish.
