To set the colors for your job or to get to the set colors window click on Change on the main menu bar and click set colors. To get to the same window using the keyboard hold down the Alt key and press the C key. You will notice the Set Color window along the right edge of your screen.

The Set Color Window:

The Color Item List

Towards the top of the window you will see all of the items that can be set to a specific color. Some of these items are Wall color, Group 1 cabinet color, Groupt 2 cabinet color and so on. Each of these color items can be set to any color you wish, they can also be set to a permanent default color of your choice or be different for each job you design. You will see a small colored square next to each color item. That is the color that the item is now using. Notice the scroll bar that allows you to move up and down the item list. This is a long list and it would be a good idea to scroll all the way to the bottom just to get an idea of some of the items you may change.  For a more detailed description of this list, go to the Texture Definitions help topic

The Color Palette Boxes

Towards the middle of the Set Color Window you will see a palette of colors. There are 32 individual color boxes each with a different shade of colors in them. Each "box" contains four smaller rectangles all with the same color but at different shades. The four "boxes" along the top have numbers above them. These numbers make up the current color for the color item. You may change the numbers and it will make the color change. Each number adds or removes a different color to the main set color box below.

The Current Color Display Box

You will notice a larger box with a label inside it towards the bottom of the window. The color inside this box is the current color that will be set to the color item if you click the set this color button. After every change you make using the color palette, look in this set color box to see what the color change has done to your color. If the color in the Set Color box is acceptable, click the Set This Color button. This will set the color to the color item that is highlighted on the list at the top of the window.

Buttons In the Set Color Window

Set this Color Button will Set the current color to the color item that is highlighted on the list. The Close button will exit the Set Color Window. The Save as Standard Colors will set all of the color items on the list permanently to the color items in the small squares that are next to each item. This is a permanent change and you will notice the colors are the same after you restart your computer and look at this window.

Final Set Color Information

By following the instructions above you will be able to change any color of almost any item on the screen. Be sure to look to the bottom of the list on the color item list at the top of the window, there you can change many things including changing color for refrigerator, dishwasher, and stove each separately.
