Set scale determines the size of the drawing area and the unit size.  To open set scale from the main menu bar place the mouse pointer on Change, then click the left mouse button; or while holding down the Alt key press the C key.  A menu selection drops down.  Highlight and click on Set Scale, or press the L key this opens the Set scale window box.

KCDw® is defaulted with Auto Scale checked.  This means the screen width is automatically determined by size of draw screen area.  To shut off the auto scale click in the box and when the check mark is gone auto scale is shut off.  With auto scale turned off you have the option of typing a screen width in the box.  When you change the screen width the screen length changes in proportion to the width.

Align the room to the Screen Grid: By clicking this button, you are resetting the design to fit within the screen.

Auto Scale: With this box checked, the design will fit automatically within the screen. If the box is not checked you are able to change the number in the screen width box. This will increase or decrease the scale or size of your screen. This will NOT change the scale in which it prints.
