Before you call Technical Support:
It is best to gather some basic information about the problem before you call us. This will save you some time and in turn save you some long distance charges you may incur by calling. If possible have answers to some or all of the following questions:
| • | What part of the program is the problem occurring in? |
(Design Section, Parts Section, Price Section, 3-D Section)
| • | How did the problem occur? What were you doing in KCDw® right before it happened? |
| • | Has it happened before, if so when? |
| • | Have you installed any new software or hardware lately? |
| • | What type of computer do you have? What is its speed? |
| • | What version of Windows are you running? |
| • | What kind of printer do you have? (If you have a printer problem) |
You may notice that in the rare case of encountering a problem, and you follow the questions above it will become easy for you to make any changes necessary yourself. It is the same process our support staff uses. Every effort has been taken to ensure that using KCDw® is easy and that the minimum amount of problems occur. If you are unable to have answers to the questions above, give us a call so a KCDw® technical support person can guide you through the problem. We think you will find that our technical support staff is one of the best in the industry, providing answers quickly and courteously. Furthermore, when you call our line it may be obvious to you that you will be speaking to a cabinetmaker, someone who actually has spent time in a cabinetmaking shop and understands many aspects of cabinet construction, design, as well as running your program.
