Version 7 Update

If you are unable to use the online update built into KCDw, you can download the updates from this page. YOU MUST ALREADY HAVE VERSION 7 to use this file. If you don't have version 7, call us at 508-760-1140 for details on how to order the upgrade. Note: Trial Versions can not be updated online.

Directions on downloading and installing the update.

Look for the link below and double click on it. This should prompt you to save the file to your hard drive. If it doesn't prompt you to save the file, you can RIGHT click on the link and then click Save Target As, this will allow you to choose where you want to save the file.

You can save the file anywhere on your hard drive, but you will have to remember where it was saved, so a good place to save the file would be the Desktop.

Once you have chosen the location to save the file, it will begin to download it to your hard drive. The update file is VERY large, 20+ megabytes. It could take an hour on a slow dialup connection, so please be patient.

Once the downloading is done, you need to locate the file, if you saved it to your desktop, this will be easy, just double click on the file on your desktop (KCDw should NOT be running at the time). This will run the update proceedure and install the needed files. As always, you should have a backup of your KCDw before running any updates.

If you downloaded the file to a location other than your desktop, you will need to start Windows Explorer (right click on the Windows START button and left click EXPLORE). You will need to browse to the location where you have saved the update file. Then double click on the file and it should run the installation.

Once the installation program is running, follow the instructions as they come up. This will update your KCDw program to the latest version.

Restoring Shop Standards Info

If you are downloading this file and your KCDw is on a different computer which is not connected to the Internet, you will need to save the file to either a zip disk or burn it to a CD ROM. You can then locate it in Windows Explorer and run the program by double clicking on it.
